Hawkeye is used to lessen controversy in matches. Players can have the assurance that the correct call was done. Hawkeye is criticized because it costs a lot of money and the chair umpire has the tendency not to overturn calls because players can just challenge. Other players like it while others don’t. Too see opinions of players and more info about Hawkeye go to ATP Tennis.com. By the way, Hawkeye is only used on the main court of some events. Wimbledon will use Haweye this year for the first time in its history.
